If you have a nice list of everything you sell in a spreadsheet then rather than adding them one by one, you can import them all at once.
-
Download the Product Import template here š”Ŗ https://bit.ly/TLShopImport
-
Populate your list.
There are three example products in there, overwrite or delete these once you are done!
Any columns in yellow text need to be completed, others such as SKU, Low Stock Amount etc can be completed but itās not mandatory.
For the columns, hereās what goes in each:
- Type: Simple. (Variable products are bit tricky to create from imports so create them as simple, then change them to Variable once they are uploaded).
- SKU: Your unique stock reference number if you have this handy
- Name: What will be used for the Product Title
- Short Description: Brief description of your product
- Description: More detailed description of your product. Both description fields can accept html formatting, but it might be best to import all your text, then use the text editor to format it afterwards.
- Stock: How many you currently have in stock
- Low Stock Amount: Threshold for when alerts tell you you are getting low (TBC on this feature)
- Weight/Length/Width/Height: Product dimensions
- Purchase Note: Add a bit of text here that will got on customer orders e.g. āthanks for shopping with usā or special instructions for your product.
- Regular Price: Product price
- Categories: Choose one from the drop-down in this column. These can be combined if you want to assign a product to multiple categories but this is much easier done using the category browser once itās uploaded.
